Thanks. All the images are made using only copiers and fax machines – no digital, no cutting and pasting – everything happens in the machine. I just recently started making composites out of some of the odds and ends; I might post soon. I’ve considered painting the copy/faxes, but I didn’t really see the sense of trying to reproduce something that was already done and (for me at least) stronger in its original form.
I love your damaged fax series. What else do you do with them. Have you ever made painting of them? With your hand on paper, board or clay?
